Are you an HIV positive gayman, bisexual or a man having sex with other men? If so, you may want to have an anonymous chat with a ”buddy”. A buddy is an HIV positive man like yourself who knows what´s it´s like to be diagnosed and live with HIV.
We are here to help and support you and are strictly bound by confidentiality rules. We also work in close collaboration with hospitals and other HIV diagnosis centres throughout Norway.
What is the point with a Buddy?
With a buddy you can freely share experiences, thoughts and feelings about how it is to live with HIV. Sharing your experiences with others in a similar situation can often give you strength and inspiration and can improve your ability to cope with the new challenges you may face
When can I talk to a buddy on line?
We try, as far as possible, to be available on-line on weekdays between 3 and 4 pm
Just click on the ”chat with a buddy now” icon when we are on line (the icon is green). You should feel free to discuss whatever you like.
Can I meet a Buddy in real life?
And if you would rather meet a buddy in person you are also welcome to do so. If we are off-line (and the icon is red) contact us by phone ( 23 35 72 09) or by mail to: buddy@helseutvalget.no
Who stands behind the project Buddy?
The ” Buddy” project launched by Helseutvalget ( Gay and Lesbian Health Norway) is an initiative designed by HIV-positive men for other HIV positive men.
